About the event
Plenty is proud to partner with our friends at Glass Tangerine to bring a hands-on workshop with bestselling Illustrator Jessica Roux. Jessica will be sharing her best tips for drawing beautiful florals. Her book Floriography: An Illustrated Guide to the Victorian Language of Flowers, happens to be one of our absolute favorites at the bookshop and at Glass Tangerine. Floriography is a full-color guide to the historical uses and secret meanings behind an impressive array of flowers and herbs. The book explores the coded significances associated with various blooms, from flowers for a lover to flowers for an enemy.
Each participant will receive all materials needed for the workshop, but if you have a particular favorite notebook, pencil, or any art supplies of your own you prefer to use, you are welcome to do so.
Tickets are $25 per person and space is limited. If you would like to purchase a copy of Jessica's book, we will also be welcoming Jessica back to the bookshop at 5pm for a book signing.
