People often ask how a bookshop can be a nonprofit. The truth is many independent bookstores exist to provide the communities around them with more than just a place to buy books. As a dedicated nonprofit, Plenty Downtown Bookshop is committed to reinvesting in our city and surrounding region. Our goals are lofty: increasing literacy and building book culture in the Upper Cumberland.

We do this in a variety of ways, from donating books, building and supporting a network of little book libraries, hosting events and workshops, and working with schools and other nonprofits, and we're always looking for other ways we can make an impact.

We hope you will consider partnering with us to share your time and/or resources.

Little Book Libraries
Our network of little book libraries needs new and gently used books, as well as new locations, people who can help plant them, and people willing to adopt a library and make sure it stays stocked. If you'd like to help, email skruszka@franklinfixtures.com or fill out the form below!
Events & Workshops
Do you have an idea for an event? Are you an author willing to visit the store or local schools? Do you have an idea for a workshop you could run? Do you want to volunteer behind the scenes? If so, please fill out the form below!

Shop With Us
This one seems self-explanatory, but it's more than just buying your next favorite book with us. Consider us for corporate gifting or book purchases. Use us when buying books for schools, businesses, book clubs, and more. Order online with bookshop.org (ebooks coming soon!) and buy audio books through libro.fm. We thank you for your support!
